GT Program

Mission Statement:

Carroll County Public Schools' Gifted and Talented Education Program, as an integral part of the community learning culture, will provide identified students with a continuum of services based on sound theory and research to meet the needs of highly able learners and to maximize student achievement.

The Gifted and Talented program at Oklahoma Road Middle School is a growing group of dedicated students who work on projects both in and out of school. For a profile of the website and other information on the program, see the bar on the left.

One of the goals of the ORMS GT program is to challenge students whose academic needs exceed those of the honors curriculum through investigation of students' passions to solve problems in both the school and the community. By creating project ideas and programs, the students can both satisfy their academic needs, and help solve real world issues and to see if we could make them better.
